Each SolarPump Kit comes with a template to hold the supplied mounting bolts in the correct position while the concrete footings dry. The template can then simply be removed.
Once the footing have cured the pole mount can then be dropped on the bolts and tighten down. The earthing bolt also clamps to a mounting bolt, ensuring the system is grounded as far as practical.
The galvanised steel pole mount is designed to provide a strong weatherproof structure to support the solar panels in adverse weather conditions. It also holds the panels away from grazing cattle and helps to avoid shadows which may reduce the PV panels output.
The pre-wired Controller and Junction Box is delivered pre-mounted on the pole mount. The controller automatically starts and stops pumping when sunlight allows and provides a simple display of the SolarPump status such as pump running speed and if there is sufficient water for the pump to work. The junction box provides a convenient place to bring together all wiring and includes a safety DC disconnect switch.
Once the PV panels are mounted they can simple be plugged into the junction box. We use robust weather proof connections to ensure secure electrical contacts.
The pump and the low water sensor are delivered pre-wired to the power cable and low water sensor cable. Along with using industry standard water proof cabling this ensures longevity in all electrical contacts.
A 2-panel SolarPump Kit. This will typically be able to pump was from up to a 30m head. Or can be used pump large amounts of water from a shallower head. See SolarPump PS200 for more details including pumping performance.
A 3-panel system can pump from in excess of 30m pumping head. Or can be used pump large amounts of water from a shallower head.
See SolarPump PS600 for more details including pumping performance.
For larger pumping requirements we can design a system to your specific needs. For eample, this 6-panel system (1kW of PV power) is able to pump 20,000 litres/day from a 50m pumping head and is used for crop irrigation purposes. For a quote the please see here.
