Most farms use electrical immersion heating or oil, generating sizable hot water heating bills. Solar Thermal Hot Water - Using free energy from the sun Solar Wash heats a special heat fluid pumped through glass panels, known as flat panels. The special solar glass traps the suns energy which is then absorbed by black pipes which in turn heat the fluid passing through them. Our panels are also fully insulated to prevent heat loss in winter. This heated fluid is pumped through a heat exchanger with a large thermal store which then heats and stores the water for later use. The system uses your existing water heating as a backup and is completely automatic, so your hot water is always available at the right temperature when you need it, it'll just cost you up to 60% less. Solar Thermal is a mature and tested renewable energy technology that will offset a significant portion of your hot water bill, up to 100% in summer falling to 20% in winter giving up to 60% saving across the year. Our solar thermal systems are designed for your specific needs and produce useful quantities of hot water even in the middle of winter. |
